Introduction
'The Devil In The White City' focuses on two plots, The first focuses on a man who is trying to build an enterprise known as the Chicago World Fair. The other is a serial killer who uses Chicago' World Fair to find his victims.
This is all happening from 1890-1893 and progressively shows the struggle of Daniel Burnham trying to build his enterprise up battling the suffering economy and trying to bring in a good income with the low prices. in this book it shows how many obstacles Burnham must overcome while trying to make the fair a success. After the death of his partner he is left on his own to make the fair prosper. With all of these setbacks he still manages, in the end, to make the Chicago World Fair a success with a good profit.
